About Us

Invest In tonga

Invest In Tonga is owned and operated by Pita Falefo’ou and his lovely wife Fo’ou. This business was started when Mr. Falefo’ou went over to his next door neighbor, Trevor Jefferson’s house and had a short conversation with him that went something like this:
Mr. Falefo’ou: Hello Mr. Jefferson, my name is Pita and I’m your next door neighbor. Is it true that you used to sell real estate in America?

Mr. Jefferson: Hello Pita, my name is Trevor and yes that is true. I sold real estate for approximately 6 years in America before coming to Tonga with my wife and children. Why do you ask?

Mr. Falefo’ou: Is it also true that you’ve been helping Tongans understand the lease laws and helping them ask fair prices for their real estate, rather then just letting palangi’s get their property cheaply?

Mr. Jefferson: Yes that is true too Pita. For most Tongans, their land is all they have with real value and for them to let it go to cheaply will create problems in the future for them and the leasee and for them to ask outrageously high prices will do the same as they will never receive the funds they need for a better quality of life. Therefore I try to help them any way I can.

Mr. Falefo’ou: Trevor, my family and I have some property that we would like to lease and I know many, many Tongans who would also like to lease their land but want to work with a Tongan and someone that they trust and respect. I want to start a real estate company, but I don’t know anything about the internet and my English isn’t that good. I have heard a lot of good things about you and believe you are a good man and I would like you to help me, if you want to, although I cannot pay you anything.

Mr. Jefferson: I’d love to Pita! I’m a bit of a hermit and like to just stay at home with my wife and children and write books, however I would love to do something to help the Tongan people and something that will be fun too. I can easily have a website created for the company by a contact of mine overseas and speak with any interested clients you want me to.

Mr. Falefo’ou: Thanks Trevor, that would be great. I have a wonderful group of Tongans that will help us, such as field agents to find properties, a translator to help with clients and land holders alike, a retired attorney who will work for us pro bono and answer any questions we have in the future, and the top attorney in Vava’u to help with all contracts and documents.

Mr. Jefferson: That sounds great Pita. I also have a great friend from the states who is planning to relocate here to Vava’u shortly. She is a licensed real estate agent in the state of Missouri and will be a great addition to your company and can help in a lot of areas.

Mr. Falefo’ou: This is fantastic Trevor. Thank you for helping our company as a volunteer. Now, do you want to come over for some dinner and a little kava?

Mr. Jefferson: Sounds great Pita!

Needless to say, Mr. Falefo’ou and Mr. Jefferson became fast friends and today they are still working together as friends, striving to not only help Tongan land owners receive fair prices for their stunning South Pacific island real estate, but also to help clients from all over the world relocate to this beautiful Kingdom, acquire their residency visas without hassle and lease some of the most beautiful island real estate on this planet for a price that they can truly be happy with.
